HMTHC's purpose is to perpetuate the memory
and spirit of the Native American Indians, the early
Texas Pioneers, the development of
the Canyon
Lake Dam & farming in the area.
The site has over one hundred dinosaur tracks of several
different types. Made over 100 million years ago,
the tracks can be seen & studied. Historical research
into the history of the Texas Hill Country is encouraged.
The Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country (HMTHC) Membership Information
The HMTHC Association meets on the fourth Thursday of each month (excluding November and December). We have "show and tell" where members and/or guests bring interesting stories, memorabilia, pictures and books relating to the past and share these with other members.
Join this group of Texans working to preserve the rich heritage of the Texas Hill Country. Volunteers are needed to plan and implement the vision of preserving the cultural heritage of the communities in the Texas Hill Country. Help us bring these plans to fruition.
