(HMTHC) Museum Objectives

1. To acquire artifacts and archival materials for the museum's collections, according to the museum's collection policy.

2. To provide educational exhibits, relating to this area, using the museum's permanent collections and loaned artifacts.

3. To develop educational programs for adults and children that will stimulate interest in this area's natural and cultural history.

4. To encourage research of the museum's rich reservoir of paleontological and geological history.

5. To provide proper storage and conservation of all the museum's collections.

6. To maintain professional standards as we develop the museum.

7. To create good will and cooperation between the museum and its members, the community, academic institutions and other museums.
